I forgot how scary this game was. Defenders making Hope’s life eventful, bad deflection, dancing Swedes… It was nice to see Hope get Lotta on a breakaway. I prefer watching Lotta beat other keepers.

So Hope gave Abby an award and now she’ll be giving Pinoe/Cox them. If you are in northern California check that out. Expo is free. Banquet will cost you something. 

The Montana Flathead Rapids club are so excited about Hope Solo coming they made a Harlem Shake video.

“Late last month, Byrd received a phone call. Doctors told Solo she would need minor wrist surgery and would be out for about four weeks (me edit: if only four weeks…ugh). With her sudden, brief availability, she remembered a friend of hers, Gina Brewer, mentioning Northwest Montana, where Brewer’s friend, O’Brien Byrd, had a growing youth soccer organization that could use some support. “Gina calls up and asks, ‘Can we do Montana in three and a half weeks?’ Absolutely,” Byrd said. “She calls Hope right back and says, ‘OK, it’s on.’ The rest is history.””

They also made a Facebook page for the event.

Can’t unsee it. 

Hope’s a pro at getting through injuries of all types. Ligaments? No problem.
